Every now and then the Creator, God, Allah adds a little something else in creating a child, and it makes that child extra. He did that with Jerome James Grant, affectionately known as ROME. ROME was extra special, extra ordinary. He was extra polite, extra respectful, and extra wise, way beyond his years. To know ROME was to like him, and to like him was to love him. He touched so many and brightened so many of our days. ROME had a smile that when he greeted you was also EXTRA.
Just had to let you, his family know that he made a difference. He made a difference in our lives. His presence made a difference, and so ROME will be extra missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jerome was my student in middle school and I always had a special place in my heart for him. We used to talk a lot and he seemed like an old man. I also taught his sister Ruth and I remember when he first came to my class she came to visit to make sure he was doing what he was supposed to do. I had not seen him in years but I know he will be missed. Keeping your family in my prayers
